Our Goals

Cleaning Up the Mediterranean Sea

Thanks to the Pelikan eco-boat, we operate primarily in areas with high human impact—such as ports, river mouths, and small inlets that are difficult to access from land.

Through education and collective action, we can fight plastic pollution and protect ecosystems for future generations.

Pelikan boats will patrol Italy’s coasts to collect waste from ports, river mouths, and remote inlets.

Did you know?

Every day, 730 tonnes of plastic flood the Mediterranean, harming marine life and entering the food chain, with severe risks to human health.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

Beach Days

In 14 days of environmental education on the beaches, families will explore marine life through fun activities, raising awareness of ocean protection and sustainable behaviors. Participants will enjoy interactive trails, educational materials, and natural elements.

RESULTS FROM 2021

Over 70,500 lbs of plastic collected—equivalent to more than 3 million plastic bottles removed from the sea. Eco-boats have patrolled over 740 million square meters of sea during clean-up efforts.
